Overview

In Bournemouth, there is a paved area called ‘The Square’ very close to the gardens, and where many people congregate at all times of year - particularly in the summer. This provides a very good open-air opportunity with all sorts of people primarily from all over the South of England ambling through the shopping area close by. The Open Air witness takes place both during the day and sometimes in the evening.

There are also large numbers of Arabic speaking Muslims (some say largest in Europe) and many students amongst these who are from closed countries and studying at the many centres for learning English in the Bournemouth area. The opportunity to reach these young people is immense. Those from Muslim backgrounds are often very happy to listen and take literature.

We welcome any to join us who have a passion to get the Gospel out to the myriads of people in this city. There is a large footfall of English people from all walks of life and many from the continent. The Bournemouth opportunity is one of the best in the country possibly equalled only by Oxford. We welcome those who speak other languages - French, German, Italian , Spanish … and with the Muslim students, we particularly value having team members who have experience witnessing to them, and may be know a bit of Arabic and Farsi.
