Brighton (not running in 2024)

Overview

The team will assemble by 5.00pm on Saturday. This mission focuses on sharing the Gospel with the many international students who come to study English at the 23 accredited English language schools. There is currently no other summer international outreach in Brighton.

We're very grateful for the partnership and support of two local churches - Calvary Church, Brighton, an FIEC church who run an international café during term time, as well as Ebenezer Reformed Baptist Church who are blessed with great facilities within walking distance of the town and the beach.

We head to the parks and the prom and aim to meet international students through first contact questionnaire work. We invite students to join us on the beach in the evenings for sports, hanging out and conversation and look for opportunities to meet up to study the Bible.

A busy urban area, Brighton has numerous tourist attractions and a wide variety of independent coffee shops. The beach consists of pebbles, but there is a large grass area nearby where we meet for our evening activities.

Working with existing International Student Cafes which are run all year by Local Churches we have an opportunity to get alongside students who already have some experience of Church and take time to answer their questions and discuss the claims of the Bible.
